Around Thanksgiving (I think), I promised that I was building a demo board for my part-time gig running a game club. This board was promised to be quick-and-easy, but nothing spectacular (keep with me here) and would serve the purpose. I even showed the start of the building of this stuff.
Then, a few weeks ago, I whined about my full-time work schedule getting in my way and made excuses. Well, no more excuses. I tossed some quick drybrushing down and a couple of washes and made them look like the citysquare baseboard. Then, wanting this to be temporary (because I'll need the terrain to make a full cityfight board in the future), I put some beading of hot-glue on the terrain the slapped it down.
It ain't pretty, but it's done and it'll work well.
In addition, the small forces are set up to be a great back-and-forth battle. It involves a Combat squad and Dreadnought against a small squad each of Raptors and Possessed.
The objective is to control the statue at the end of the fourth turn. Whoever has a unit within 3" of the base will win the game, and a draw is possible.
HONOR OF THE IMPERIUM!!!
Now I plan to recruit some gamers and kick this year off with more battles all the time! More to come on that later...
As always, Happy Gaming
