I'm currently residing at an empty home with no distractions, yet I still almost forgot about the blog! My family has left for vacation and this gives me all the time I like to get some hobbying done. I've gotten no hobbying done.
But my son, being far more industrious than I am sometimes, has spent a few weeks touching up his Lord Mortarion. Using the airbrush and some putty-based conversion (to replace broken and lost parts), he spruced the model up quite a bit and now has a sexy monster ready to grace the battlefield. I was so impressed that I waited for him to leave for school one day and I took some pics.
This was a massive upgrade over the last attempt- this happens after a few years pass and drop that experience and growth. I'm really proud and he's looking forward to slapping him down against me. Mortarion almost fought against my Necrons, but he's being saved for Ultramarines 2.0. The Plague Wars will never be over!
